Traveling in the desert? Want to know how to change a flat tire on the side of the road? In this workshop you will learn tire changing techniques, tips on how to get unstuck from sand (and how to avoid getting stuck in the first place!), the basics of the combustion engine, and how the systems of a car work together. Projected images, diagrams, and actual parts and tools are used for reference, with opportunities for questions and dialogue throughout.  For the hands-on part of the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to practice changing a tire using the jack provided with their own car. We’ll go under the hood and talk about checking vital fluids, changing an air filter, and how to jump-start a dead battery.  There will be time for a lunch break, so bring food and come dressed to get a little dirty!

Cancellation Policy: The last day to receive a full refund for a workshop is one month prior to the start of the class. Workshop fees can be used as credit for another class until 14 days before the start of the workshop. After that, there are no refunds. There are no exceptions to this including personal and job related issues (sickness included). The only way to receive a cash refund past the one month deadline is for the student to find someone to take their spot. YVML will also do its best to promote!
