Join us as we take you through each step of the earth casting process. Utilizing the simplest of material as a technique, enjoy an exploration of form and texture through earth casting. Students will learn how make their own earth molds with easily obtainable materials and cast forms in plaster or concrete. 

This workshop will focus on the historical, practical and potential application of earth as a medium. Over the course of two days, students will use simple hand tools to carve directly into the earth molds in order to rapidly explore relief pattern, three dimensional form and coloration.

Cancellation Policy: The last day to receive a full refund for a workshop is one month prior to the start of the class. Workshop fees can be used as credit for another class until 14 days before the start of the workshop. After that, there are no refunds. There are no exceptions to this including personal and job related issues (sickness included). The only way to receive a cash refund past the one month deadline is for the student to find someone to take their spot. YVML will also do its best to promote the open spot.
