Coldworking includes all of the many techniques used to finish, alter or decorate glass after the annealing (or cooling) process is complete. For this introductory workshop, students will learn: grinding, polishing, gluing, cutting and sandblasting. The instructor will teach all of the coldworking equipment in the Lab including a diamond tile saw, flat lapidary wheel, wet belt sander, dremel tools and pneumatic water fed grinders. So that students are not dependent on the equipment, many basic 'low tech' techniques will be covered that can be done in a home studio. Other 'tricks' demonstrated will be HXTAL as a glass adhesive and removing scratches and spot healing.

Students in the Glass Casting Workshop that occurs May 22 - 24th will receive 10% off this class. Please send us an email to inquire before registering at info@yvml.org.

Accommodations: please send an email to info@yvml.org to inquire about accommodations.

Cancellation Policy: The last day to receive a full refund for a workshop is one month prior to the start of the class. Workshop fees can be used as credit for another class until 14 days before the start of the workshop. After that, there are no refunds. There are no exceptions to this including personal and job related issues (sickness included). The only way to receive a cash refund past the one month deadline is for the student to find someone to take their spot. YVML will also do its best to promote the open spot.
